Joseph Hutton Jr.

Joseph Hutton Jr., age 87, of Joppa, MD passed away surrounded by his family, on November 27, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born and raised in Narberth, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Ethel (Quigley) Hutton and was the husband for 45 years of the late Elizabeth Jane Hutton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was discharged at the rank of Captain, was a graduate of the Drexel Institute of Technology, and worked in the banking industry where he was Vice President of Commercial Loans. Family was the most important thing to him and he loved being with his grandchildren. He enjoyed sports as a coach and as a fan. He also enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, MD and Ormond Beach, FL.

Mr. Hutton is survived by his wife of 13 years, Margaret “Peggy” Louise Hutton; his children, David J. Hutton (Teresa), Stephen T. Hutton (Patricia), Nancy E. Davis (Dexter), Janet E. Gomes (Manuel) and Sarah H. Simpson (Paul); ten grandchildren, Shawn, Kimberlie, Alex, Christopher, Megan, Sarah, Melissa, Scott, Theo and Lucy; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings James A. Hutton and Barbara A. Martin.
