George R. Sann

George Sann, age 95, of Jarrettsville, MD passed away on January 15, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Jacob and Williana Roberta (Waterworth) Sann. He started work at Glen L. Martin Company in 1939 and worked there for 48 years. He retired as foreman of facilities engineering and maintenance. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. An avid big game hunter, he enjoyed hunting in Maine for 50 years. He loved to build model planes and enjoyed his flight simulator on the computers. He also loved woodworking and finishing family rooms in basements. He was an excellent photographer and sketch artist.

Mr. Sann is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra M. Sann; nephew, Joseph Sann of Middle River; niece, Joan Schultz of Mountain Lake Park, MD; two sisters-in-law, Anna (George) F. Huth of Edgewood and Brenda (John) J. Korwin of Naperville, IL; two brothers-in-law, G. Michael Inscore of Hope Mills, NC and Alden H. Halsey of Bel Air; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Minnie A. Starka, Charles Sann, and Edward Sann; and sister-in-law, Ruth E. Halsey.
