Frances Ann Bellmyer

January 30, 1932 — October 10, 2017

There’s a new voice in the choir of angels with the passing of Frances Ann Dunn Bellmyer. Frannie, as she was known by many, died Tuesday Oct. 10 at Citizen’s Care Center in Havre de Grace. She was 85.

She is survived by her children, Linda Bellmyer, Henry John Bellmyer III and his wife Kathie, Jane Bellmyer and Karen Mlynarik. Also left to love and cherish her memory are nine grandchildren; Amy Bertier, Lynda Berry, Gary Buettner, Russell Murphy, Laura Buskirk, Tamara Argoe, Calvin Mlynarik, Colin Weaver, and Cameron Weaver; and 11 great-grandchildren; Adam Bertier, Logan Bertier, Brodie Murphy, Sierra Berry, Xander Buettner, Ian Buettner, Evelyn Buskirk, Henry Buskrik, Grace Buskirk, Willa Murphy, and Dale Mlynarik, as well as her sister, Peggy Dunn and brother William Dunn, Jr.

Going ahead of her were her husband of 57 years, Henry John Bellmyer, Jr., sisters Marilyn Firebaugh and Lois Huffman, brother Dennis Dunn, and parents William Dunn and Viva Dunn.
Frannie spent her life helping family and friends with her creative skills. She was a loving wife and mother, always nurturing and caring for people. A natural singer, she was active in the choir at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church but also sang for special occasions at Bush River Yacht Club. An accomplished seamstress, Frannie made 7 bridal gowns along with other special occasion clothing. Later in life she got into floral arranging and had a home business creating silk flower pieces including wedding flowers and table decorations.

Her cooking skills were also in demand among family and friends. At BRYC she would make gallons of homemade spaghetti sauce and pounds of meatballs and feed everyone on B Pier. Potato salad was another of her signature dishes along with her chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company to thank them for all their help with Mom's care over the past several years:
Joppa-Magnolia Vol. Fire Company, Inc., 1403 Old Mountain Road South, Joppa, MD 21085.
