After the Funeral
At McComas Funeral Home, our caring does not stop after the funeral of your loved one. McComas Funeral Home continues to provide support for you and your family through its Grief Share program and annual memorial services.
Grief Share Program
After your loved one’s funeral, you may need help in reaching a positive resolution of your grief. McComas Funeral Home offers the Grief Share program, a free, one-year after-care program where you may find continuing, compassionate support and healing by sharing your grief with others experiencing similar loss and receiving comfort and encouragement.
Annual Memorial Services
Every year, McComas Funeral Home holds an annual memorial service to honor lost loved ones. This is a beautiful and meaningful way for you and your family to remember and honor your loved one in a reverent ceremony.
Mourning Glories
Greetings to all widows of Harford County from the "Mourning Glories" of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edgewood. We are an outreach ministry to widows who want to meet and socialize with other widows in our community. You are warmly invited to join us.
We welcome those who have newly become widows, as well as those who have experienced the loss of a spouse many years ago. We discuss issues related to grief and loss and other matters pertinent to life as a widow. We are not a support group in the truest sense of the word as we do not have a trained professional leading our group. However, we have a very flexible format and we do draw support from one another and from sharing our experiences. All discussions are kept confidential.
Meetings are held on the 4th Friday of each month, from 2:00-4:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. We are located at the corner of Willoughby Beach Road and Sequoia Drive, across from the Edgewood High School.
